Architecture, like any creative medium, is constantly changing, so it can be challenging to stay on top of the latest trends and keep up-to-date with the latest industry news.  We’ve compiled the top architecture websites to help you stay informed!

ArchDaily was founded in 2008 with the mission of delivering the most complete information to architects around the world; every week, every day, every hour, every moment: as soon as it is happening. It is the online source of continuous information for a growing community of thousands of architects searching for the latest architectural news: projects, products, events, interviews and competitions among others.

The goal of Archinect is to make architecture more connected and open-minded, and bring together designers from around the world to introduce new ideas from all disciplines. Initially developed in 1997 by Paul Petrunia, the site has since become a top online destination for progressive-design oriented students, architects, educators, and fans.  Its direction is driven by the staff and contributors with a member-based community system allowing anyone to participate by registering and contributing.

UK magazine Building Design’s online presence, providing news for architects. Comprehensive articles on a range of subjects including Business, Technical and Sustainability.  Subscription is required to view some content.

Architecture Week is the leading magazine of design and building online, providing news and features weekly on architecture and construction, digital media, and building culture to some 400,000 monthly visitors. The aim is to set a new standard for accessible, frank, accurate, probing, integrated, and inclusive coverage of the built environment.

Los Angeles based writer Geoff Manaugh who is also an Archinect team member and editor for DWELL magazine. It provides architectural news and conjecture, heavily illustrated, and this blog contains posts on design, architecture and landscape design.

Laura Paterson

Laura Paterson is a graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and Edinburgh College of Art. She holds a B.Arch in Architectural Studies and a PG Diploma in Architecture and is currently studying for a M.Sc Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies with the Centre for Alternative Technology, Wales. A qualified United Kingdom architect, Laura was born and still lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh, with its a rich source of historic buildings was what inspired her to study Architecture. With experience in refurbishing Victorian houses, Laura has a particular interest in sustainable, low carbon refurbishment of historic buildings and passive approaches to building design.
