Program Support

Global Site Plans is currently seeking applicants for the position of Program Support Intern. Responsibilities vary based upon individual qualifications, experiences, and interests. The term of the internship is a minimum of six-months, contractually. There are two positions available.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Internship Outreach, Recruitment, and Retention

  • Research businesses, organizations, and websites within the environmental design community that would increase outreach to internship applicants, requiring extensive online research;
  • Recruit international internship applicants through universities, businesses, and organizations by disseminating internship opportunity notices (familiarity with Mail Merge tools is a plus);
  • Coordinate updating the email database after advertising internship opportunity notices (familiarity with Excel is a plus);
  • Support the internship application process by communicating with applicants and vacancy posters.

Internship Coordination and Tracking

  • Assisting in new internship participant training and acclimation;
  • Tracking blogger performance based upon quantitative measures (familiarity with Excel is a plus);
  • Develop end-of-internship performance reports (familiarity with Excel, Google Docs, and DropBox is a plus).

Social Media Coordinator

Have an interest in learning how to use social media to create and strengthen communities? Global Site Plans and The Grid are seeking a unique individual who’s passionate about Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging. During this six month opportunity (preferably one year), you’ll learn how to navigate social media using HootSuite, metrics, creating an outreach plan, while being the first point of contact for The Grid’s community. Currently composed of a 2,000+ Facebook community, almost 3,000 Twitter followers and a growing LinkedIn community, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and greet new and returning community members, strengthening your knowledge of the field of environmental design, while learning valuable social media skills.

Qualifications:

      • Knowledge in the fields of environmental design (studying towards a degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field).
      • Time commitment of 10 hours per week.

This individual is responsible for communicating and approving pitched ideas, editing blogs, WordPress posting & formatting and implementing our Twitter marketing plan for these individuals. The Infographics Designer will be accountable for converting research data into infographics. This role requires gathering and translating data into a format that can be presented using a compact and creative approach that is engaging, easily understood, specific, relevant and accurate.

Arabic Language Translator & Content Coordinator

Global Site Plans is striving to bring foreign language environmental design news to its English-speaking audience.
