Seeking urban planning, geography, mapping, and/or transportation students who are interested in mapping dolmus and minibus data across Istanbul. There are sixteen available positions, eight for the European side and eight for the Asian side of Istanbul.

Key responsibilities:

• Report to the Dolmus and Minibus Route Development Manager

• Interview dolmus and minibus coordinators to ensure base map accuracy

• Using your Android/iPhone/BlackBerry smartphone, ride dolmuses and minibuses tracking route, distance, time, and cost (round-trip)

• Responsibility for reporting data on demographic region (i.e. Kadikoy, Beyoglu, etc.)

• Create and provide route/cost details to Manager

Qualifications:

• Experience in urban planning, geography, mapping, and/or transportation studies

• Own an Android/iPhone/BlackBerry smartphone

• Extremely reliable and able complete duration of internship

• Must be bilingual Turkish/Fluent English

• This is an unpaid position available for university internship credit

• Costs for dolmus and minibus transit will be provided
