It seems like only yesterday that I was signing my first set of paperwork to do my internship with Global Site Plans. Initially, I must admit that I was a little nervous about doing an internship with Global Site Plans because I feared that I could not produce quality blog writings. But over time my fears lessened.
Ultimately, it turns out that writing for The Grid has helped expose the inner writer within me. The bi-weekly assignments provided great insight to my mind, while the exposure gave me greater confidence.
In addition, the training and assistance that I received from Renée van Staveren, in addition to the bi-weekly writing assignments, helped me to sharpen my skills as a writer and perfect my ability to express my ideas. These, and other tools, have helped me with my desire to pursue a career in community development or community revitalization.
In all, my Global Site Plan experience has given me the confidence to write more articles or stories about urban planning issues, architecture, and even techniques for utilizing technology. Thus, the knowledge that I gained while working for Global Site Plans has been invaluable. In all, I believe this has given me the experience necessary to maybe pursue a future career in writing, planning, or community outreach.
I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to Renee’ and Global Site Plans for giving me the chance to write my monthly blogs on The Grid. Thank you all for this rewarding and inspiring experience. I appreciate everything you have done for me over these past few months.
I wish you much success in the future.
